Penzel Construction Adds New Superintendent

Penzel Construction is pleased to announce that Clay Randol of Cape Girardeau, Missouri has joined the Penzel team as Superintendent. With more than a decade of experience, Clay has worked on both large and small projects ranging from $8 million to $100 million.

Some of Clay’s notable projects include the CCA Correctional Center in Hartsville, Tennessee, a $100 million project, where he oversaw construction of the pre-engineered steel building and cell block housing unit. He also oversaw owner move-in, inmate deliveries and warranty items. He served as Carpenter Forman and Superintendent Trainee on the $45 million MU Football Stadium in Columbia, Missouri. Among other responsibilities, he managed the carpenter and labor crew forming and pouring all concrete.

Clay earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2006. In addition, he is a Union Journeyman Carpenter, having completed the Carpenters Apprenticeship Program in 2009. Formerly, Clay served as a Superintendent with J.E. Dunn Construction Company of Kansas City, Missouri.

“Clay’s experience dovetails with Penzel’s capabilities as a design-build contractor that also self-performs concrete, foundations, and other work. We are also a NUCOR metal building systems supplier, and his experience with metal building construction is very valuable,” noted Phil Penzel, President and CEO of Penzel. “We are really happy to have him on our team.”
