Penzel Construction Company Receives National Award

A structure built by Penzel Construction of 325 West Jackson Blvd., Jackson, MO has been honored by VP Buildings, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of metal buildings.

Penzel has been named to VP Buildings’ 2004 Hall of Fame for the Jackson Public Safety Facility in Jackson, MO.  The building was destroyed in the tornado that passed through Jackson on May 6, 2003.  Penzel crews finished the project in record time, while enabling emergency services to continue. The structure was completed in August 2003.

The National Hall of Fame Awards are presented each year to authorized VP Builders for outstanding integration of building systems, products and design.  Over 1,000 authorized builders from across the globe are eligible to enter multiple categories in the Hall of Fame competition..  David Zenger, president of VP Buildings, said, “VP gained recognition many years ago with the ‘Custom Concept.’ The Hall of Fame is proof positive that our builders continue to challenge the boundaries by seeking new and innovative ways to prove that pre-engineered buildings are the system of choice.”

Established in 1910, Penzel Construction is a registered engineering company that provides comprehensive general construction, design/build, and construction management services.  Penzel Construction Co., Inc. has been an Authorized Builder for Varco-Pruden since 1981.
