SITE CONDITIONS:

We strongly encourage subcontractors and material suppliers to stay current with construction progress and scheduling.  A site visit can be set-up with the Project Manager or Estimator.

 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NOTES:

PENZEL IS PREPARING A PROPOSAL AS THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR THIS PROJECT.   THE OWNER IS THE JACKSON R-II SCHOOL DISTRICT, JACKSON, NISSOURI 63755. A PRE-BID CONFERENCE IS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 8, 2006 AT 2:00 P.M., ATTENDEES WILL MEET IN FRONT OF BUILDING "C" ON THE HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS.   THE PROJECT ARCHITECT IS WARNER-NEASE-BOST ARCHITECTS, 517 DELAWARE, KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI 64105 - (816) 283-3731. THE CONSULTING ARCHITECT IS JOHN DUDLEY, AIA, 106 EAST WASHINGTON, JACKSON, MISSOURI 63755 - (573) 243-1831. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FROM PADUCAH BLUEPRINT & SUPPLY, INC. 999 BROADWAY, PADUCAH, KY  42001, (800) 423-6479, WITH A $200.00 REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. PARTIAL SETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM PADUCAH BLUEPRINT. PLANS MAY ALSO BE VIEWED AT PENZEL'S OFFICE, ON THIS WEB SITE, OR OBTAINED FROM OUR OFFICE AT 325 WEST JACKSON BLVD., JACKSON, MISSOURI.    THE PROJECT SCOPE CONSISTS OF AN ADDITION TO EXISTING FACILITIES, INCLUDING CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW EVENTS CENTER, FOOD SERVICE FACILITIES, MUSIC DEPARTMENT, ART DEPARTMENT, AND COMMONS AREA    PLEASE NOTE: THE SPECIFICATIONS ARE ORGANIZED INTO DIVISIONS AND SECTIONS USING THE 50-DIVISION FORMAT AND CSI/CSC's "MASTER FORMAT" NUMBERING SYSTEM. PLEASE CONSULT THE TABLE OF CONTENTS TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE SYSTEM, IF YOU ARE ALREADY SO,   SUBCONTRACTOR AND MATERIAL SUPPLIER QUOTATIONS ARE REQUESTED PRIOR TO 5:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, AUGUST 28, 2006.   THE CURRENT PREVAILING WAGES AS SET BY THE MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF LABOR UNDER WAGE ORDER NO. 13 FOR CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MUST BE PAID FOR ALL WORK ON THIS PROJECT.   Faxed bid forms will be accepted until Bid Time. Subcontractors are responsible for confirmation of receipt of the bid form via a follow up phone call to the Penzel point of contact.   Subcontractors are required to include the owner and Penzel as additionally insured.   Subcontractors are required to adhere to all Penzel and OSHA Safety Policies. The Penzel Standard Form Contract will be utilized without modification for all subcontractors. A copy of the Penzel Safety Policy or Standard Form Contract are available upon request. The OSHA Safety and Health Requirements Manual is available on the OSHA web site at www.osha.gov . Subcontractors are urged to review the plans, specifications and all associated addendums that were used for design of this project.   Subcontractors are responsible for clean up of material and waste associated with their scope of work. Clean up will be coordinated with the on-site superintendent and will be performed on a daily basis. If the subcontractor is deemed unresponsive to this requirement, Penzel will perform the activity at the expense of the subcontractor.   This project is tax exempt. Missouri sales and/or use taxes are not applicable to permanent materials on this project.
